To me design is more than function: it is about communicating, empowering, and adding a gentle joyfulness to the people’s lives. In my practice as a designer, I am looking for beauty and inspiration in improbable places, trying to get the essence of things and put more soul into them in order to make them feel more connected.
My work imply the glamor of silence in an attempt to capture the beauty and sadness of moments; moments which can be one of personal truth; moments of waiting, suspended in a silence of fertile emptiness. In my works, where lightness creates a delicate and refined translucent quality, I am interested in the vague membrane between the visible and the invisible, where the unseen is existing behind the empty space. I want to embody the presence of absence, where emptiness expresses the wholeness of being.
